Twin Cities Alumnae Chapter Years in Review
2013-2014
We have had a lot of exciting and fun events this past year!
This past fall we had a business type meeting setting to discuss our plans and ideas for the coming year at a local library.
Around Halloween, some of our sisters attended the "Saint Paul Gangster Tour" which explored the sites of nightclubs, kidnappings, and gun battles associated with the 1930's gangsters like John Dillinger, Ma Barker and Babyface Nelson.
In November we visited the Children's Hospital to see the items that were donated by the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation grant of $2,441.49!
In December we pampered ourselves at the Beauty Lab enjoying manicures and pedicures, we also did a cookie exchange.
This past January we ice skated and had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Minneapolis.
In February we went to Feed My Starving Children to help pack food for the less fortunate.
We had sisters attend the Twin Cities Alumnae Panhellenic Chapter International Badge Day in March.
April was our annual Founders Day celebration held at the University of Saint Thomas.
We wrapped up the Spring in May for our second year in a row with an event at The Paint Pub where we each painted the Mpls stone arch bridge!
Thank you to all of the members who have attend events, hosted events this past year and to those who will be in the future!

2012-2013
We have had a lot of exciting and fun events this past year!
This past fall we had a business type meeting setting to discuss our plans and ideas for the coming year. During our meeting we had an opportunity to “speed network” with our sisters.
Around Halloween, some of our sisters were brave enough to partake in the “Shadows and Spirits Tour at the State Capitol”.
In December we pampered ourselves at the Beauty Lab enjoying manicures and pedicures, we also did a cookie extra. A nice stress free way to start the holiday
season!
This past winter to get out of the cold sisters attend a Roller Derby event “Bout 4 - Skatin' on the Ritz: Roll Out the Red Carpet”
In February we had another informal business meeting dinner to catch up with our sisters and talk about new things going on in our alumnae chapter!
In March we served lunch at the Ronald McDonald House at the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. Our theme was “State Fair Food”. We even had the opportunity to tour one of the rooms in the house and learn more about the Ronald McDonald House. Thank you to all who helped make this event successful and to Camille (who could not be here today) for coordinating the event for us!
Many of our sisters have also attended events that the Twin Cities Alumnae Panhellenic Chapter has hosted; International Badge Day and Bunko to raise money for the Emily House.
We wrapped up the Spring in May with an event at The Paint Pub where we each created our own masterpiece!
Many of our members attended “This I Believe” National Convention in Orlando, Florida in June 2013.
Thank you to all of the members who have attend events, hosted events this past year and to those who will be in the future!

2011-2012
We have had a lot of exciting and fun events so far this year with a few more to come this spring; we collected school backpacks for Volunteers of America during our annual planning meeting.
We started the fall with a tea at the Mad Hatter Tea Room in Anoka (Hats were provided!).
This year we have been putting together 2 birthday bags per month for the children from the Simpson Shelter in Minneapolis. Thank you to Maggie Keating for coordinating this effort each month. Simpson Housing Services has a program to move women who have experienced homelessness for a long time into safe, affordable housing
We hosted a private party at the Olive Grove in Mounds view, at which we were able to sample a wide variety of extra virgin olive oils and vinegars. I think Linda bought out the store.
Upcoming event for May is a Mill City Museum Tour and we will be having our next year planning meeting in June. We are also hoping to attend the Twins Game as a group (possibly as a fundraiser for the Foundation), details yet to come.
